The Transatlantic Alumni Network (TAN) is a not-for-profit, apolitical association bringing together alumni of U.S. government-funded programs, such as the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP), Fulbright, among others. Its members, in their personal capacity, help strengthen ties between the United States and the European Union and its Member States. TAN members hail from across the EU and beyond and work in a variety of sectors from governmental institutions to industry to NGOs. However, we all share a common experience, as alumni of U.S. government-funded exchange programs. TAN also welcomes all current and former participants of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to join us!
Launched in the fall 2020, a group of alumni with U.S. Mission support formed the Network to promote the Transatlantic relationship. The Network organizes a range of high-quality activities with the aim of connecting, engaging, inspiring, and educating current and future Transatlantic leaders.
Members are encouraged to continue their IVLP experiences by recognizing their opportunity and responsibility to both 'give back' to network by engaging in networking, mentoring, and volunteering activities throughout the year. We are committed to reinforcing the ties between fellow alumni and strengthening the transatlantic relationship in a collaborative and fun spirit!
